Claudio Gelpi, an expert applicator and decorative painter, founded Colorificio Valdecia with the goal of creating a personal line of paints and coatings for the construction sector.

The company launched Decia Paint Color System, an advanced tintometric system with a spectrophotometer, enabling rapid reproduction of any color. Expanding production led to investments in a new water-based paint facility and a robotic automatic bagging system.

The enlargement of the company’s facilities improved production efficiency, increasing storage space for raw materials and finished products.

In the year Decia Cover, an innovative shading paint for greenhouses, was patented, the company achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality and received the European “Seal of Excellence” award for Decia Cover.

The launch of the Deciacamp line, field marking paints for grass surfaces, and Deciacamp Line, Valdecia’s first field marking machine, expanded the company’s sports sector offerings.
